2023/08/01

ANHUI, CHINA - Hitech Machinery, a leading manufacturer of demolition robots in China, has recently delivered a large shipment of their remote controlled hydraulic breakers to several metallurgical plants across the country. This advanced demolition equipment will allow steel mills, foundries and smelters to improve productivity and reduce maintenance downtime.

Compact yet powerful demolition robots from Hitech are specifically engineered for operation in the harsh conditions and confined spaces of metallurgical plants. A wireless remote-control system enables operators to work safely at a distance, protected from dust and high temperatures. Hitech breakers can swiftly and precisely dismantle furnace linings, slag, cranes, ladles, and other equipment.

One major steel mill plans to use their new Hitech demolition robots for quick furnace turnarounds. The breakers will help remove refractory and slag buildup in their blast furnaces and basic oxygen furnaces in just hours compared to days manually. By shortening maintenance shutdowns, the steelmaker aims to increase annual production by 5%.

The largest foundry in the region will deploy Hitech robots for mechanized ladle breakout and castings knockout. Automating these physically demanding tasks is expected to boost casting output by 30% while improving worker safety. The construction machinery factory ordered Hitech breakers for removing stuck castings from their molding lines among other applications.

Hitech demolition robots have proven effective at slashing maintenance costs for smelters as well. One major copper producer will use their Hitech units to deslag converters and break anode settlement crusts. With the robots, they target to cut annual maintenance hours by 2024. The optimized workflows will directly translate into higher smelter utilization.

With rugged design and versatility, Hitech’s demolition robots are gaining popularity across metallurgical sectors. The advanced machines enable customers to complete critical maintenance tasks faster, safer and at lower cost. Hitech plans to expand their distribution network to bring the productivity benefits to more metal producers worldwide.
